Ghana’s First-Ever Off-Grid Hackathon at Dream Village
Twenty-five young innovators gathered in nature to co-create practical responses to waste, post-harvest loss and farmer support.
From 23–25 May 2025, Dream Village Ghana hosted what the organisation describes as Ghana’s first-ever off-grid hackathon, in collaboration with Prisma, WADA and ARC. Set in the heart of nature, 25 young innovators worked on grassroots solutions for waste management, post-harvest loss, agricultural extension and farmer support. The gathering reflected a central Dream Village belief: technology should serve communities and respond to real rural challenges. Alongside focused teamwork, participants experienced the land and built relationships across disciplines.
